March, 13, 2015

The Chamber of Young Sri Lankan Entrepreneurs (COYLE) appointed Navein Perera as their new Chairperson at the 16th AGM held on Tuesday (March 10). Navein takes on the reins from Sanjaya Jayaratne, who served from 2014 to 2015.

The AGM was followed by a gala event held at the Cinnamon Grand in Colombo.

Navein is the Managing Director of Sparklink Travels (Pvt) Ltd. He is one of the founding members of COYLE and has served as the senior vice chairman from 2014 to 2015 and a member of the committee of management for over 6 years. Navein was also actively involved in taking COYLE to greater heights through the various local and international programmes held throughout his representations.

“COYLE is extremely fortunate to have Navein as the new Chairperson because he has a wealth of experience to offer this committee. His participation in various COYLE events and his drive for new ideas will undoubtedly be good as we look towards taking COYLE to greater heights,” said Sanjaya Jayaratne at the AGM.

“I look forward to my stint as the head of COYLE. It is going to be exciting and challenging as I prepare to steer this organization in a new era of governance. Together with my versatile and hardworking committee headed by Kasun Rajapaksa, the senior vice chairman and Kushan Kodituwakku, the vice chairman, we will strive to make an even greater impact on the nation’s growth,” said Navein, commenting on his appointment to this top position.

Navein also paid a glowing tribute to his predecessor Sanjaya saying his active leadership during the past two years has paved the way for COYLE to make large strides in the nation building. Sanjaya’s role in the Chairman’s Entrepreneurship Forum held last year was one such event that impacted young and aspiring leaders as well as bringing awareness to the possibilities and probabilities of entrepreneurship in this country.

With a prime focus on active involvement through dialogue, discussions and representations to create a business-friendly environment in this country, COYLE has a vast and ambidextrous membership across verticals adding value to the nation’s growth. Over the calendar year, COYLE engages in various projects both locally and internationally, by facilitating innovative partnerships to build a more sustainable and equitable national economy.
