If an individual’s name is stated with any shortcomings in his/her Employee’s Provident Fund (EPF), then when recovering their money they could encounter many difficulties, says Labour Commissioner W.D.S.C. Weliwatte.

Even if such shortcomings in the names are informed to the respective institutions for rectification, in the event the particular institution is no more, then recovering the funds would be very difficult, says the Commissioner.
