Government promotes 10, 000 youth dairy entrepreneurs

As a part of the government’s policy to promote Domestic Dairy Production with the participation of youth entrepreneurs the Cabinet of Ministers has decided to start an island-wide program to create 10, 000 youth dairy entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka on the proposal made by President Maithripala Sirisena.

Under this program, each of these youth entrepreneurs will be able to produce minimum hundred liters on a daily basis.

The Cabinet has also decided to implement the program as a pilot project in Kandy District by the Ministry of Rural Economy in collaboration with the Central Provincial Council and Kandy District Secretariat.

Activities of the pilot project will be expanded to the other areas of the country on its success.
