Happy Sri Lankans (http://www.happysrilankans.com/), a digital community and a collaborative platform which spreads Happiness connecting Sri Lankans in the country and all around the world was launched recently. The launch ceremony was graced by Chief Guest, Business Leader Dilith Jayaweera and Guest of Honor, new generation PR practitioner - Ashan Kumar Managing Director PR Wire and other well wishers at Cinnamon Red Hotel Colombo.

Happy Sri Lankans is a brain child of young and energetic Manoj Alwis, a Software Engineer and MBA holder. Kasun Sameera, is an IT graduate in UK and a professional UI designer and Praveen Thanushka a Law student are Co-Founders of this engagement platform. The site covers various topics from #HappyLifestyle, #HappyPlaces, #HappyEntertainment, news, events latest fashion tips to community projects, capturing positive moments around the country and events of the Sri Lanka Diaspora living in other parts of the world.

Speaking about the vision for Happy Sri Lankan Founders  Manoj Alwis, Kasun Sameera and Praveen Thanushka in a joint statement said, "The site has plans to become one of the engaging and up to date web sites further connecting and showcasing the advantages of the positive usage of technology. We started this project as an simple idea, and it was the community around us which took it viral. We hope to create happy experiences and share them so every single Sri Lankan can be inspired - after all what is happiness without spreading it".

The Happy team is also in to social media marketing and branding, photography and videography, event management, and plans are laid out to launch an online magazine on Travel and Tourism. The team will also be launching the #HAPPYSRILANKANS printed magazine and the mobile application in the near future.
