Strengthens logistics operations in the region 

Hayleys Advantis, the Transportation and Logistics arm of diversified blue-chip conglomerate Hayleys Group, entered into a joint venture in Myanmar with Kusuhara Transportation Company Limited of Japan and Myanmar Sedate Shipping & Logistics Company Limited. The agreement was signed recently in Yangon, Myanmar with the participation of representatives of the 3 companies.

The new JV is expected to further strengthen the logistics operations of Hayleys Advantis in Myanmar, launched earlier this year.

“Drawing strength from our wide partner network and five decades of expertise in the logistics sphere, Hayleys Advantis is geared to extend total logistics solutions to the Myanmar market, which has seen a massive influx of foreign investments in recent years,” said Ruwan Waidyaratne, Managing Director Hayleys Advantis. He went on to say “the partnership we have established with Kusuhara Transportation Company Limited of Japan and Myanmar Sedate Shipping & Logistics Company Limited, will undoubtedly strengthen our position in the country enabling us to better serve the Myanmar clientele.”

The move towards launching logistics services in Myanmar goes in line with the strategic initiatives taken by Hayleys Advantis towards global expansion. The company has seen exponential growth in recent years and has nearly doubled its PBT within the last 3 years.
