Hayleys Plantations Gold and Silver winners at CA Sri Lanka Annual Report Awards

~ TTEL brings home the Gold award in the plantations category for 5th Consecutive year

Hayleys Plantations was crowned as the Gold and Silver Winners in the Plantations Sector Category for the 5th consecutive year at the CA Sri Lanka Annual Report Awards Ceremony held at Shangri-la Hotel Colombo recently.

Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC and Kelani Valley Plantations PLC once again set benchmarks for the plantation sector, winning Gold and Silver awards respectively. Horana Plantations was also awarded with Compliance Certificate.

In an effort to crown the best and most brilliant annual reports produced in the country, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka organized this year’s awards under the theme of “Epitome of Brilliance”. The competition rewarded organisations that produced the most cohesive, clear and customized annual reports that better reflects an entity’s operations, whilst going beyond their statutory boundaries of reporting, all while promoting transparency, accountability and good governance.

This in turn has facilitated Hayleys Plantations to deliver excellence to all our stakeholders,” Hayleys Plantations Managing Director, Roshan Rajadurai said.

The awards come hot on the heels of several other accolades won by Hayleys Plantations for its comprehensive approach in environmental management and conservation at the Presidential Environmental Awards 2018 for the fifth consecutive year.

Additionally, Hayleys Plantations recorded a dominant performance at the National Business Excellence Awards 2018, with TTEL receiving Overall Gold award and additionally Gold in the Agriculture & Plantation Sector, Excellence in Performance Management, Excellence in Capacity Building and Extra Large Company categories. Similarly, the TTEL also secured a further five awards at the Presidential Environmental Awards 2018, for the fifth consecutive year, making it the only Plantation Company to receive this award for 2018. This winning strategy was further highlighted at Social Dialogue and Workplace Corporation Awards 2018, which was organized by Ministry of Labour where Hayleys Plantations received a cumulative 6 awards with KVPL winning two out of three Gold Awards while TTEL won three awards with silver and merit awards.
