HNB Finance illustrated the company’s robust presence in the industry by clinching the Silver Award in the Non-banking Financial Services category at the National Business Excellence Awards (NBEA) 2018. The 15th edition of the National Business Excellence Awards honoured corporate entities through evaluating business value creation in seven crucial areas. HNB Finance won the Silver Award for exceptional performance in the areas of leadership, corporate governance, capacity building, performance management, local and global market reach, corporate social responsibility and environmental sustainability as well as business and financial results. Mr Priyalal Arangala, Chief Operating Officer – HNB Finance accepted the award on behalf of the Company at the ceremony held at Hilton Colombo.

The NBEA is recognized as one of the highest corporate awards in the country. NCCSL (National Chamber of Commerce Sri Lanka), the awarding body of NBEA uses a seven criteria evaluation model to judge contenders. The model has been benchmarked against world renowned excellence models such as the Deming Award of Japan and the Malcolm Bridge National Quality Award of USA. NCCSL engage an eminent panel of judges to evaluate contending businesses.
