Build Sri Lanka 2014 was organized for the 10^th time by the Chamber of Construction Industry Sri Lanka (CCI), with the objective of highlighting the positive growth and development in the construction industry. The event took placefrom 30^th May to 1^st of June2014at the Bandaranayake Memorial International Hall recently.

The exhibition was held under the auspices of Hon. Basil Rajapaksewho attended as Chief Guest along with Hon.Thilanga Sumathipala MP and Dr. Surath Wickramasinghe, President of the CCI.

Speaking at the opening ceremony the CEO of Holcim Lanka, Mr. Phillipe Richart said, “This is an event that enhances the industry and helps to attract young talent. The cement industry in Sri Lanka has shown strong growth over the last several years and we are proud to have played different roles in the development of the country’s construction industry.”

Holcim Lanka one of the foremost cement manufacturing companies constructed a magnificent stall that displayed various construction material and techniques to educate the public. The three day event showcased several large scale projects that are to be commenced in Sri Lanka in the near future, the latest building materials and the state-of-the-art construction technology and equipment.
