Lankem Robbialac’s “Avurudu Kumari” goes digital

Lankem Robbialac recently gave the traditional concept of the Avurudu Kumari a novel interpretation by introducing its “Digital Avurudu Kumari”.

Lankem Robbialac’s thousands of Facebook friends and fans in Sri Lanka and around the world were invited to nominate and send in photographs for the competition.

A large number of entries were received between 27 March to 25 April sparking intense interaction among the fans during this period and with voting taking place at a hectic pace.

Dhaniya Gomes emerged winner and won for herself a Rs. 25,000/- gift voucher with the compliments of Lankem Robbialac. Bimaya Wijekoon and Hasini Sandanayake came second and third and respectively won gift vouchers of Rs, 15,000/- and 10,000/- each.

“This was a very interesting experience and I’m delighted to have emerged as the winner from so many entries. It’s also nice to see top companies like Lankem engaging in projects of this nature. It makes corporate presence so much more exciting and appealing too”, said the winner Dhaniya Gomes.
