Laugfs Gas announced their Mother’s Day campaign to celebrate mothers and the unparalleled role they play in our lives. Being a strong household brand that is closely connected to the mothers of this country, Laugfs Gas initiated this campaign to honour motherhood in a special way. 

The campaign, which kick starts on Mother’s Day, invites all Laugfs Gas users to write down their appreciation of their mothers in the form of a story, poem or any other manner on the surface of the yellow gas cylinder with a permanent marker on Mother’s Day to make her feel special. Once the cylinder is empty and is returned to the dealer, it will be refilled and sold still bearing this message; hence creating a viral effect where mothers around the island can see the messages of love written by children in appreciation of the role she plays. The best messages will receive a special gift from Laugfs Gas for the winner’s mother.

Speaking about the launch of this campaign Mr. W.K.H. Wegapitiya, the Chairman of the Laugfs Group stated, “A mother puts in her heart and soul to support her family but this is rarely appreciated. This Mother’s Day, we at Laugfs hope to change that. We lead such busy lives with hectic schedules that we often forget to appreciate the people around us who made us who we are. I urge everyone to join this initiative to celebrate mothers and show them that we appreciate their untiring efforts.”

Furthermore, Laugfs Gas will also publish images of its cylinders in national newspapers for members of the general public to write in their messages and send it to the mentioned address. Laugfs Gas will then publish the most creative messages with the name of the sender on fresh gas cylinders when they are released to the market. People can also visit the Laugfs Gas Facebook page and share their messages via the special app.

Laugfs Gas PLC also plans to organize an exhibition in the coming months to showcase the many messages of love that was generated by this initiative and the final results of this campaign.
