MasterCard applauds Sri Lankan Apparel Sector’s employee welfare initiatives

MasterCard Country Manager for Sri Lanka and Maldives, Mr. R.B. Santosh Kumar recently met the Secretary General of the Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF), Mr. Tuli Cooray and discussed the Ransalu Pranama worker welfare program. Mr. Jumar Preena, Chief Executive Officer of CH17, the initiative’s owner and implementer agency was also present at the meeting.

The program was launched by JAAF with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The Ransalu Pranama welfare card is a key element of the program. A NFC-enabled smart privilege discount card built on Mobitel’s One Network smart loyalty platform, it offers cardholders savings on a wide cross section of essential goods and services at a steadily growing number of merchant partners registered with CH 17.

Mr. R.B. Santosh Kumar commended JAAF for its efforts around improving the quality of life of the sector’s workforce and expressed MasterCard’s interest to collaborate with the Association.
