Metropolitan Unveils Micromax Bolt and Bolt Supreme 2 Smartphones in Sri Lanka

Metropolitan Telecom Services (Pvt) Ltd, an authorised distributor for Micromax Informatics, will launch two new robust Android smartphones in Sri Lanka: the Micromax Bolt (Q346) and Bolt Supreme 2 (Q301).

The launch will target entry-level smartphone buyers searching for innovation, affordability, and build quality. A demographic that makes up a significant portion of non-smartphone users in Sri Lanka. In that respect, Metropolitan shows its on-going commitment to becoming a flagship provider for the local market need.

The Micromax Bolt (Q346) is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor running on Android 5.1 Lollipop. With a 4.5-inch display, the Bolt features a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device comes with 8 GB of built-in storage that can be extended to 32 GB via microSD card. And is to be powered by a 1700 mAh battery. With connectivity options that include dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.

The Micromax Bolt Supreme 2 (Q301) bear some similarities to the Bolt (Q346) but takes on the role of little brother. The Q301 has the same connectivity options and 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor running on Android 5.1 Lollipop. But features a toned-down 4-inch display with a 2-megapixel rear and 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Additionally, built-in storage is at 4 GB but can be extended to 32 GB. While the device is to be powered by a 1400 mAh battery.
