Vehicle Importers’ Association chairman Indika Sampath Merinchige said that Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake has given them an assurance that there would be no changes in the prices of vehicles through the upcoming budget.

Merinchige further added that currently the importers are compelled to sell their vehicles below the prices that they are imported under. Furthermore, he added that this is the best time for customers to purchase their vehicles since in the new future the vehicle prices may rise by about three to four hundred thousand.
