Under a situation where the cooperation and guidance of the Chairman and Commissioners of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) appointed by the previous government not forthcoming, the total activities of the Commission have become defunct, says Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.

He adds that that it has become difficult even to take legal action over a large number of complaints into which investigations have been already completed.
