Noritake hosts customers to Table Setting demonstration

April, 1, 2015

Noritake Lanka Porcelain Ltd (NLPL) recently hosted a selection of its customers to an interactive demonstration in the intricacies of table setting.

Conducted by its consultant Sharmini Goonetilleke, the several guests present that morning, and even friends of the media, were taken through the intricacies of table settings which also included the usage of crockery and cutlery.

Adding value to the experience was also another interactive and interesting demonstration in the art of folding table napkins by former hotelier and Creative Head at Mel Ads (event partner) Jeremy Muller. Here guests were taken through the paces of how to make a lotus flower, standing fan and a bird of paradise.

These demonstrations in the art of table setting and napkin folding added value to the recently launched Bridal Registry which gives bridal couples the chance to indicate specific items of their choice. At the same time it enables guests to be part of a meaningful and appreciated gift, thereby making it work both ways.

With the launch of this Bridal Registry, Noritake Lanka Porcelain Ltd (NLPL) goes on record as being the first-ever porcelain company in Sri Lanka to do so. With its 43 year old history in this country, NLPL today enjoys iconic status as Sri Lanka’s pioneer porcelain tableware manufacturing company and has catered to generations of satisfied customers both locally and in South East Asian region.
