The Sri Lanka Economic & Investment Summit 2026 (SLEIS 2026), organised by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, will open with a high-level Investment-Focused Panel Discussion, bringing together leaders from the public and private sectors to examine Sri Lanka's investment landscape and the opportunities emerging as the country advances its economic reform agenda.
The session, which will be held on the opening day of the Summit, will explore opportunities across priority sectors, the policy, regulatory and institutional support available to investors, and the reforms needed to strengthen Sri Lanka's competitiveness as an investment destination. It will also examine how stronger collaboration between government and the private sector can accelerate investment, drive economic growth and create long-term value for the country.
The panel will feature Krishan Balendra – Chairperson, The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Mangala Wijesinghe – Chairman, Export Development Board, Somasena Mahadiulwewa - Director General of Commerce (Actg), and Vish Govindasamy - Board Member, Board of Investment.
Beyond the panel discussion, the Summit has been designed to facilitate direct engagement between investors, government institutions and the private sector. Investors will have the opportunity to connect with key investment promotion agencies, regulatory authorities and business representatives, providing a platform to discuss investment opportunities, understand available support mechanisms and explore potential partnerships.
Dedicated business-to-business (B2B) meetings and networking sessions will further enable participants to engage with relevant institutions and companies, creating opportunities for investment facilitation, business collaborations and long-term commercial relationships.
Held under the theme "Positioning Sri Lanka in a Changing Global Economy: Resilience, Reform, and the Future of Economic Policy," the Sri Lanka Economic & Investment Summit 2026 will take place on 12 and 13 October 2026 at the Shangri-La Colombo.
