SriLankan in nosedive this year too

Latest data reveal that SriLankan Airlines has incurred a massive loss during the first four months of 2015.

With this, the overall loss by SriLankan Airlines has grown to Rs. 130.9 billion.

While the revenue of SriLankan Airlines has been Rs. 39.6 billion during the first four months of this year, overall expenditure has been Rs. 44.9 billion.

www.adaderanabiz.lk recently reported quoting very reliable sources that a group of senior civil aviation sector officials had met and held discussions with Emirates Airline’s serving Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Tim Clarke in Dubai to obtain advice on preparing a policy to develop Sri Lanka’s aviation and allied industries.

The aim of these discussions were to obtain advice from Tim Clarke who has wide experience in the aviation sector to obtain such advice and to prepare a policy to develop Sri Lanka’s aviation and allied industries.

Tim Clarke was the Managing Director of SriLankan Airlines till 2008 when the national carrier was being managed by Emirates Airlines.
