The Ceylon Chamber led biz delegation explore opportunities in South Africa, Zambia and Rwanda

A nine member Sri Lankan business delegation, led by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, recently visited South Africa, Zambia and Rwanda to explore commercial opportunities in those countries.

Representatives from companies such as Jinasena Private Limited, Kelani Cables PLC, Hayleys PLC, Dankotuwa Porcelain PLC, Union Chemicals Lanka PLC, Jinasena Infotech Private Limited, Macksons Paints Industries Private Limited and Rainco Industries Private Limited joined the delegation.

The mission was supported by the Sri Lanka High Commission in South Africa, The Durban Chamber of Commerce, Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce, ANC-PBF South Africa, Honorary Consul General for Sri Lanka in Zambia, Finance Bank PLC of Zambia, The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Zambia, Zambia Development Agency, Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry of Zambia, Private Sector Federation of Rwanda, High Commission of Rwanda in New Delhi and the Hony. Consul General for Rwanda in Sri Lanka.

His Excellency Sunil de Silva, High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in South Africa and the delegates were accompanied by Mr. Kapila J. Kumara, Commercial Secretary of the Sri Lanka High Commission in South Africa. In addition, meetings held in Zambia were attended by Mr. Elmo Jayetileke, Hon. Consul General for Sri Lanka in Zambia.

The mission started on the 3rd of April and lasted until the 13th April 2016.
