Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams continues to shape Colombo’s dining landscape this May with a curated selection of experiences across its signature venues. Blending seasonal moments with immersive culinary concepts, the month’s line-up offers guests a range of ways to dine, gather, and celebrate.

At Bistro Des Marées, on level 23, the Mothers’ Day Ocean Elegance Brunch on 10th May sets the tone for a leisurely afternoon. Featuring fresh seafood, vibrant salads, and a selection of curated desserts, the brunch is complemented by a welcome mocktail, live soft music, and a thoughtfully assembled beverage offering. A special gesture for mothers dining with their families adds a sense of occasion, adding a thoughtful layer to the experience.

For those looking to mark the moment in a more personal way, Sweet Lab, on level 24, presents a limited-time collection of customisable cakes from 8th to 10th May. Crafted to order with prior notice, each cake offers a simple way to celebrate and appreciate the mothers and maternal figures in one’s life, whether at home or as part of a larger gathering.

Mid-month, Sapphire Dragon, on level 24, turns its focus to tradition with its Dragon Boat Festival celebration, running from 17th May to 21st June. Featuring handcrafted rice dumplings with both savoury and sweet fillings, the offering highlights regional interpretations of this festive staple. Guests can also explore a specially curated dumpling experience, alongside exclusive takeaway options, including a limited-edition reusable rice dumpling bag when 3 pieces are bought.

Towards the end of the month, the dining calendar shifts to mark Hajj. At Quizine, on level 9, a three-day dinner experience from 28th to 30th May introduces an elevated buffet with an Arabic influence, featuring a spread of fragrant rice dishes, slow-cooked meats, mezze, and grilled specialities designed for sharing.

Rounding off the month, Yoroko, on level 23, presents a Sake Masterclass on 23rd May, offering  an unforgettable dining & Sake experience. Led by a Master Sake sommelier, the evening pairs a curated selection of sake with a five-course menu featuring dishes such as kombu-cured shiromi sashimi, robata-grilled scallops with miso butter, and A5 wagyu striploin with sansho pepper, before concluding with a yuzu granita dessert. The experience offers a more immersive take on Japanese dining, appealing to both enthusiasts and those exploring Japanese cuisine more deeply.
