The men and women’s national Volleyball teams recently represented Sri Lanka at the South Asian Games, which were held from the 1^st to the 10^th of December 2019 in Kathmandu, Nepal.   

Captained by H. D. Romesh Ranawaka, the men’s team was made up of G. G. L. M. Wasanthapriya (Vice Captain), K. S. Lakshan Kelaniyage, S. Isuru Madushan, H. P. M. Chandrakumara, W. Dilina Sudaraka, P. A. D. A. Dilshan Perera, M. Malith Dinindu Chamara, B. H. W. Lakmal, N. S. Karunarathna, P. Kasun Chathuranga Fernando, M. Dhanushka Dilshan Fernando, A. W. Lakmal and I. S. Vimukthi Sagara. The team officials were K. Rathnamudali Daundagedara Chiththadhamma Rathnamudali - Team Manager, Gonzalo Manuel Torres - Head Coach, Madurapperumage Saman Chandranath - Assistant Coach, Moratuwage Susiri Mangala Kumara - Trainer and Shalika Lakmal Rajapakshe - Physiotherapist.

The women’s team was captained by W. Ashani Chamodika Jayathunga and included K. Thilini Wasana Perera (Vice Captain), M. S. Apsara Sewmali Senewirathna, Kavisha Lakshani Perera, S. G. Dilukshi Harshani Senarathna, Hashini Lakshika Senarathna, K. M. C. A. Wasanthi, H. P. Nimeshika Sewwandi Gunawardana, G. A. Amani Kausalya, A. L. A. Anuththara Sandamali, W. Ruwani Thaksala, K. K. D. Sachini Charuka, H. H. Dilusha Sanjeewani and W. M. G. G. Naduni Himansala Weerakoon. The team officials were Siriwardena Wijesinghe Mudalige Upul Chandana Wijesinghe – Team Manager, Cabrera Cepero Roberto - Head Coach, Kaluachchi Arachchige Janaka Indrajith - Assistant Coach, Amila Eranga Wijepala Gamage –Trainer and Gishan Lakmal – Physiotherapist.
