Jaffna to get a Business Centre for empowering new entrepreneurs

The latest Cabinet decisions noted that it has been planned to bring about a sustainable development in the Northern area by creating entrepreneurs equipped with information technology and generating new employment opportunities and income sources.

As such, the proposal made by Malik Samarawickrema, the Minister of Development Strategies and International Trade, to set up a centre in Jaffna with the financial assistance of the Government of Sri Lanka and the Government of India to empower the new entrepreneurs to provide required services, enabling the professional services, enterprises and entrepreneurs to easily and cost effectively set up their offices, so as to have quick access to the export market, had been approved by the Cabinet.
